LOOK & LISTEN

Catch the small leaks.

Look beneath sinks and around toilet bases for dampness, staining, or a musty smell. A faucet that drips or a toilet that keeps refilling deserves a closer look.

KNOW YOUR EQUIPMENT

Give hot water a checkup.

Keep your water heater’s model and service records handy. Use its manufacturer’s maintenance schedule, and ask about service if you notice leaks, unusual sounds, or less hot water.

KEEP A REMINDER

Stay on top of filters.

Note when a filter is installed and follow its replacement instructions. The right interval depends on the system, water conditions, and how much water your home uses.

One thing to know before a leak: where your main water shutoff is. Keep it accessible, and ask for help if you’re unsure how it works.

04 / COMMON QUESTIONS

GOOD QUESTIONS.
USEFUL ANSWERS.

A starting point for the things homeowners ask about most.

Have a different question? Call us
How does your pricing work?

We use flat-rate pricing. Call with the details of your repair or installation so we can discuss the scope and quote for your job.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, we offer a one-year warranty. Ask us to explain the coverage and terms that apply to your job.

Can I schedule maintenance before there’s a problem?

Yes. We offer maintenance plans and scheduled visits. Tell us about your water heater, filtration system, and any plumbing concerns so we can discuss what to include and how often to visit.

Why am I running out of hot water?

Demand, the heater’s capacity, sediment, or a failing component can all play a part. Tell us whether the change was sudden, which fixtures are affected, and the heater’s age if you know it. That helps guide the next step without guessing at a repair.

Should I repair or replace my water heater?

Its condition, repair cost, age, and your household’s hot-water needs all matter. A repair may make sense for an isolated component problem; a leaking tank may call for replacement. An inspection helps establish what’s actually wrong.

How do I choose a water filtration system?

Start with what you want to address and information about your water. Different filters serve different purposes, and no single filter removes everything. Your water report or appropriate testing can help identify what to look for in a system’s certified performance claims.

Why is the flow weak at just one faucet?

If other fixtures work normally, the issue may be local to that faucet, such as buildup in its aerator. Check the fixture’s care instructions before cleaning or taking it apart. A sudden change across several fixtures needs a broader check.

How can I check for a silent toilet leak?

For a conventional tank toilet, put a few drops of food coloring in the tank and wait 10 minutes without flushing. Color appearing in the bowl can indicate a leak. Flush afterward to help prevent staining. See the EPA’s leak-check guide.

Can I buy my own faucet or fixture?

Call before you buy so we can discuss installation. The mounting holes, dimensions, connections, and clearances need to suit your setup. A product link or model number is a helpful starting point.

What should I have ready when I call?

Your address, a short description of the issue, when it started, and the equipment’s model or age if available. For installations, tell us what you’re replacing and whether you’ve already chosen the new fixture.
